Mission: Organization

I couldn’t stand passing by the field of brown boxes every time I passed through our back room anymore. I was determined to reorganize, but needed supplies. We really haven’t had to make too many furniture purchases. Thankfully, we both came well-supplied with our own furniture for every room of the house. There have been a few items along the way that we did need to buy (a couch, for instance). But, for the most part, we’ve made a conscious effort to not buy too many new things for a home that we are renting. Instead, we use what we have (or have been given) and make it work.

So, alas, Ross and I found ourselves in Home Depot yesterday and bought two shelving units. (Actually, we bought one yesterday even though I knew we would need two, but one thing Ross despises is buying stuff that could eventually be returned. He’d rather make two trips. So, that’s what we did and bought the second one today – after it was fully determined that we would need a second one.)

The weekend project also gave us an opportunity to rearrange other furniture in the room so it was more visitor friendly.

It makes me happy to be in this room now.

Wow, this room has come a looong way! It looks awesome! It doesn’t surprise me though, you guys have such good taste! I am really impressed! It sure feels good to get organized…life is much smoother…takes lots of time to do, but the end result is great!
