3 Years
2009 June 2
We celebrated 3 years of marital bliss on May 27th! Since it fell on a Wednesday this year, we decided to wait until the weekend to celebrate. What better way to celebrate than to go to Canada, eh?
Let me just say this: we don’t get out much. We are both very comfortable staying in most nights. We know this has its pros and cons. Of the cons: the fact that we haven’t really explored the city we live in or its whereabouts very much. There’s a lot to see and do!
On that note…the original idea was to go on a sightseeing tour on the Detroit River. However, the state side tours only offer expensive dinner cruises. We wanted to go in the afternoon so we could go somewhere else to eat dinner. Plan B: find our passports.
The tunnel to Canada is tiny! Two lanes. One of which (going to the States) was PACKED! We decided we’d find the Ambassador Bridge on the way back (thank you, Garmin). We enjoyed the tour, but I was not a fan of border control to get back into the States. They are sticklers…and on a power trip.
Dinner at Small Plates in Detroit was delicious. We had the perfect amount of food and ended the evening with ice cream in Plymouth. Mmm!

Congrats on three years! And thanks for coming to junior high youth group on your actual anniversary. What a way to celebrate :)
Sorry you had to come to youth group on your anniversary. Nothing like absolute craziness to celebrate 3 years! By the way, Ross, your sunglasses are awesome.
