Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family! (We apologize for not sending out a photo card this year. Stay tuned for a birth announcement in a few months!)

At the beginning of 2009, we knew that the very thing that brought us to Michigan would end in August. The Ford College Graduate program is a three year program that allowed Ross to rotate to three different areas of IT within Ford Motor Company. As the end approached, we spent a lot of time praying for direction and ultimately were led to stay in Michigan. So, Ross spent time reconnecting with people he had met along the way and secured a position as a User Interface Developer in Ford’s IT Creative Design and Usability group. (Fancy words that basically mean that he helps build Ford’s internal applications.)

In June, we announced to our families (and then the world) that we were expecting our first child. At the time, we didn’t know if it would be a boy or a girl, but knew we would be thrilled either way. 

As Heather started to show and experience the joys of the first trimester, we were in the midst of house hunting. In early September, we closed on our first house in Plymouth, Michigan and immediately jumped into a few major home renovations. The upstairs has been done for a few weeks now and the outside will soon be complete – all in time for Missy Miss’s arrival! We can’t believe the due date is only 6 weeks from now…we can’t wait to meet our little Analiese!

So, to say the least, 2009 has been a year of many exciting life changes for us and we’re looking forward to what 2010 brings!
