Flower Power

So, I may be ruining a birthday surprise for a very special little girl who is about to turn 2, but I just had to post a picture of my new favorite craft, modeled by my sweet baby. The bright pink piece of the flower is a yo-yo – one of the many I’ve been creating for Analiese’s mobile to hang over her changing area. Both the yo-yo and scrap flower (yellow piece) are very easy to make.

For the record, I am not a fan of headbands on babies without hair. I realize that it would help strangers figure out if it’s a boy or a girl more easily, but it’s just not my thing. The great part about this little flower doo-dad is that you can make it whatever you want it to be – I think it would also look great on a  jacket or top by adding a sew-on pin-back. All I know is, I want to make one for every little girl I know.
