  1. Wow, I would be completely sntsesirg out because of course it’s only natural for Heather’s mother to ask where I saw her. Even though my heart would be racing, I would have to keep my composure and stay calm since I’ve already put myself in a situation where I can easily breech the confidentiality of the patient. I think I would quickly say, oh I was on my way to work and saw her drive by, but I can’t remember exactly where that was. After that, I would have to quickly excuse myself and tell her I have to get back to work. This is a perfect example of how easy it is to slip up, but you have to remember that keeping patients confidentiality is not just at work, it has to be outside of work as well. When you see a patient that you know on a more personal level, you always have to be mindful that it is just best to not bring up anything that happened at work or even who you saw. In doing so, it will eliminate slip up and being in one of these situations.
