The Hemnes Gets a Makeover

Welcome to Analiese’s room…

This is her Hemnes dresser from Ikea. It does it’s job of holding her clothes, diapers, wipes and blankets well. But, it’s nothing special to look at.

These are the Anthro-inspired knobs I found at JoAnn Fabrics this week. I was very happy when I saw these little gems sitting in the Home Accents section.¬†They were 50% off the original $4.99 price per knob. Plus, I had a sweet little 20% off coupon for my entire purchase. That means 13 knobs (one is for the nightstand which is not pictured) for about $27.50 (versus the $104 I would have had to spend on the same ones from Anthropologie…which just wasn’t going to happen. Ever.).

I was a little concerned that the metal backing would scrape the face of the drawers, so I cut little felt circles to use as a buffer between the drawer and the knob:

You can’t even see the felt, but it’s there, doing it’s thing. And the knobs are definitely doing their thing, too! So pretty!

They are feminine and vintage and lovely.

I was hoping that you would change those knobs out someday! I LOVE the new look. Very good choice. :)
