6-8 Weeks Project: Week 3
I’m taking a photograph of Analiese each day until the new baby arrives to document our last 6-8 weeks as a family of three. Here is week 3 plus a few from the end of week 2.
You and Mama packed up the car this morning and headed to Cincinnati. We saw Uncle Greg for a bit before you took a nap and when you woke up you had ice cream with Uncle Erik and Poppa. Then we met Nana for dinner and ate outside. You were so happy!
On the road with Nana to Atlanta, Georgia for Nate’s graduation celebration. We made lots of stops and hit a long detour, but you occupied yourself so nicely in the car with books, stickers, crayons and music. We got to Atlanta just in time for bed.
You helped Uncle Tim clean the pool this morning before meeting everyone for lunch. You love eating out and watching people, so you had a great time. Later, we got dressed up for Nate’s baccalaureate ceremony and took lots of pictures afterwards!
We had breakfast on the go since nate’s graduation was early in the morning. When we returned you were quick to get in the pool with Harrison. You stayed on the steps for the most part, but ventured out with Uncle Time. What a fun day!
On the road again back to Ohio, we stopped for smoothies (pink, not green!). You took a very short nap, but were a gem in the car. We especially liked listening to you sing all of your favorite songs and talk to your toys. You have such a great imagination!
Before heading on the road back to Michigan, we had a relaxing morning with Nana in Ohio. We played with your new paper doll set on the deck and ate a yummy lunch of pb&j. You took a good nap in the car and were thrilled to see Daddy [and Parker] when we got home.
You’re quick to offer help when Mama is in the kitchen. Today we made lemon crinkle cookies and you enjoyed licking the spatula. Later, we played music and you brought all of your stuffed animals out for a dance party.
Sophie came over to play while her mom helped with some gardening in the backyard. We played with bubbles and took a walk around the block with bikes. You even helped with the gardening. We tried the sprinkler later, but you weren’t too sure about it.
Daddy joined us at Mama’s appointment with her midwife this morning. We got to listen to Hayden Kate’s heartbeat and see her on the screen. You received one of your most favorite things afterwards: a lollipop. You told Raggedy Anne that she wet the bed and needed a clean diaper.
