6-8 Weeks Project: Week 8

Well, there was a bit of a delay with this one because of the arrival of Miss Hayden Kate on Monday, July 2! More on that some other time.

I’m so glad I did this little project as a way of documenting the last few weeks of Analiese as an only child. To me, it seems like she has grown up a lot since becoming a big sister. So, to have this record of her and our days together is priceless.

So, without further ado, here is week 8:

When Daddy is home, he wakes you up so Mama can sleep a little longer. I usually find you two coloring at the kitchen table. And then we eat breakfast together. Today, you introduced Mama to that routine and then we went to the park to play on the slide.

Mama filled your pool in the morning after we got back from a midwife appointment. And by the time you woke up from your nap it was like a bath. You got right in and loved swimming and floating around amidst ALL of your pool toys.

You are usually very cautious about everything. So, it surprised us when you were willing to “jump” to Daddy in the pool from the ledge (with Mama’s help). It helped that a few other kids were doing the same thing nearby.

We spent the morning running an errand or two, came home for lunch and your nap, and then met some friends for dinner and ice cream. You asked for “white” ice cream and loved eating it in the company of D & A. Then you climbed a big rock and jumped to Daddy and Uncle Dan. Fun!

We are always greeted with a big smile and “Hi!” when we pick you up from your classroom at church. Today you learned about Noah’s Ark and then came home and played with all of your animals. Getting you to look at the camera and smile is like pulling teeth, but when you do, it’s precious!
