September Instagram Photo Dump

Analiese has been potty trained for a while now, which I am thankful for every single day now that we’re changing someone else’s diapers all day long. She still needs help pulling her pants down, sitting and wiping, but she consistently keeps those big girl undies dry and tells whichever adult is around that she has to go potty. She almost always requests to bring something in with her even if it’s to go pee for 5 seconds. This is another reason why she still needs help…because her hands are always full of other items!

On a whim, I decided to paint the mirror in our entry. Good things can come from being spontaneous.

We have new neighbors! We watched nervously for the entire week it was on the market as prospective buyers went in and out. Our previous neighbors kept their property in tip top shape and had lived there for 30+ years. They were pleasant, quiet and very sweet to Analiese. We were sad to hear they were leaving our street and we feared whoever lived there would have a loud barking dog that would keep our sleeping kiddos awake at all hours of the night. Well, the Lord provided a family of three, with one on the way. Their son is 2.5 years old. Yep, the Lord provided. Oh, so back to the Instagram…it’s a tin of chocolate chip scones that we delivered on move-in day. :)

Other than a few paint touch-ups, our garage project is complete.

I love these girls so much. They both cooperated for a random post-nap photo shoot. Side by side I can definitely see some physical similarities, but they certainly have their own look, don’t they?

Analiese got her first cold of the season and so I busted out a present from Gigi. We have them stock piled in the basement for whenever big sis isn’t feeling the love in “new baby” world. Being sick and stuck in the house seemed like another good reason to let her unwrap one. This one was a set of Hello Kitty dominoes.

My mom and aunt came to visit for a few days and so the natural thing to do was to walk downtown to the farmer’s market for some fresh donuts and coffee on Saturday morning. I love fall. And visitors. And sugary donuts.

Taking Parker for a walk is truly an event for Analiese. It always requires her baby doll stroller. What she may want to push in that stroller on a particular day is anyone’s guess. She’s a hoarder of her toys and tries to bring them everywhere she goes. She’s been given many boxes, purses, pouches and other cute things that can serve as a carrier for her trinkets, but she wants to see everything and so tucking them away is just not her style. Therefore, they all just get piled in her stroller for these walks with Daddy and Parker. On this day, she thought her butterfly fairy wings were a nice addition, too.

Just today, Analiese told me, “I’m going to feed my REAL pretend baby” while I was feeding Hayden Kate in the other room. Sister, the one I was feeding was real, I promise. I love how she’s taken on a nurturing roll, not only to her baby dolls and stuffed animals, but to her sister, too.

I am borrowing a ton of great clothes that fit HK perfectly right now. This top is one of my favorites from the bunch. I paired it with a cute headband from Suzie Studios. I know her. She makes beautiful stuff!

This pile. Yes, it’s small, but it’s perpetual! And this is just one of many that seem to form throughout each and every day. Every once in a while, Analiese surprises me and cleans up on her own. We should really do a celebratory dance when this happens to motivate her to do it more often.

The last two are from our visit to Three Cedars Farm. It was such a fun morning with friends. We fed animals, went on a hayride, and enjoyed fresh donuts and apple cider. But by far, Analiese’s favorite activity was playing in the corn box. She requested to go back to it multiple times. There was a fake cow that kids can “milk”, but she wanted nothing to do with it. However, when asked about her trip to the farm, that’s always the first thing she says she did. (?)
