Happy 4th Birthday Parker! Here’s the first ever The Weekly Parker post. He has grown up.

We watched the movie How to Train Your Dragon a little while back, and for some reason the Night Fury dragon (pictured above) reminded us a little of our dog Parker. While this picture makes the dragon look a bit more fierce than Parker, they do have some similarities: color, four-legged, trainable, and friendly once you get past the initial bark. So for those of you who know Parker or follow The Weekly Parker posts, what do you think? Could Parker be part Night Fury?

Parker and my parents’ dog Emmie enjoy playing together. Emmie is younger and bigger, so Parker wears out faster.

Parker used to have a frog toy that was his favorite. This one, not this one. Well, since the frog was pretty much destroyed and has been thrown out, he taken a liking to a bear, which happens to be from the same line as the frog.

Remember Parker? Yep, he’s still around, and he’s never far when Analiese has a cup of cereal. She often and accidentally shares her Cheerios with Parker. Here Analiese is giving me a bite as Parker watches very closely.

I had to dig through the archives for this picture. Parker no longer has this frog toy, which was once his favorite. I can’t tell if Parker looks mad here or just tired. What do you think?

Here’s a snippet of Analiese’s visit with her Grandma and Grandpa. As you can tell, she had a great time playing with new toys, reading and watching tv, saying hi to her Uncle Ryan and spending some time with her great-grandmother, Baba. We received rave reviews of how good she was while we were away. I don’t doubt it at all–she’s generally happy and content, which makes it a lot easier for us to go away for a few days like we did. Upon our return, though, she became ultra cranky–maybe she realized that she missed us? Who knows.

The Chaseys are known for how many pictures they take. Thank goodness for external hard drives, right?! Well, they have one of those fancy cameras that has a video option built in. No one ever knows when Pat is taking a picture or a video and when we realize he just captured our obnoxious voices for the past 30-45 seconds, we plead with him to delete whatever he just caught on tape. He never obliges and I worry that someday those videos will resurface. But every once in a while, we’re all on the same page, and are aware that taping is in process and he captures something like this:

This is a common situation when we visit Heather’s parents. Heather’s Dad keeps Parker away so their dog, Hoagie, can eat in peace.
